On July 24^th, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order entitled “Ending Crime and Disorder on America’s Streets.” This order demands that cities do more to “address” homelessness and serves as the basis for the current federalized crackdown that is occurring in Washington, D.C.

In October 2024, ground broke on the site of the future Hamilton County Regional Safety Complex (colloquially known as Cincinnati’s Cop City) at 9500 E Miami River Rd in Colerain Township. Construction is expected to be complete by 2026.

ICE agents operating out of a field office in Blue Ash have begun conducting immigration raids, arresting, detaining and deporting local residents — many of whom have no criminal charges — without due process.
