Demand for an End to the CPD's Reign of Terror
We are not here to beg. We are here to demand justice—justice for Ryan Hinton, for his grieving father Rodney, and for every Black family brutalized by this violent, racist system. What happened in Cincinnati is not an anomaly. It is the expected outcome of policing in America. It is the result of centuries of state violence against Black and Brown people. We will not let this be buried. We will not let the state write the narrative. We will not be silent.
Here are our demands:
Justice for Ryan. We need an independent investigation of the police officers involved in Ryan's murder.
Free Rodney Hinton. Let him post bail and go home in safety to grieve his son while he goes through the awful US legal system that will take years to see his case through.
Let families grieve. CPD to end the constant intimidation tactics of the Hinton family and the Black community in Cincinnati. Let families grieve in peace, and let Black people live.
Stop copaganda now. The media must stop regurgitating police propaganda. There is no investigative, independent journalism being done by media outlets.
Investigate jail abuse. We need an independent investigation into the poor living conditions and abuses Rodney and all others detained in Clermont County Jail endure.
We are not asking. We are organizing.
We will not wait for justice to come from the same systems that murdered Ryan and locked up Rodney. We are building power in the streets, in our communities, and in our movements. We demand the truth. We demand freedom. We demand liberation.
