Ohioans Say No to Their Tax Dollars Funding Genocide
While the state continues to shield Israel from accountability, the people of Ohio are making it clear: we do not consent to our tax dollars funding genocide. The laws may be written against us, but history is not. From Cincinnati to Gaza, liberation will be won by the organized and uncompromising struggle of the international proletariat.
The Theocratic Threat: Christian Nationalism in 21st Century America
Theocracy — the fusion of religious authority and political power — has resurfaced as a potent force in American public life. Though the First Amendment famously calls for a separation of church and state, today's Christian nationalist movement presses ever harder against that barrier, seeking to remake U.S. democracy in the image of a "divinely ordained" and "morally correct" republic. These theocratic impulses threaten both our democratic institutions and the possibility of a unified working class struggle. In order to better understand theocracy, it is necessary to first understand its history. And to resist it, we must organize for a secular and socialist future.
On the Alleged Assassination of Israeli Ambassadors
History has shown that acts of individual terror are an ineffective—and, indeed, counterproductive—means of achieving revolutionary ends. Only organized political action by the broad masses can remove the yolk of capitalism and the bourgeois state from our necks. We insist that only a people united against exploitation can never be defeated. However, we also say that the full moral and political culpability for such individual actions falls on the shoulders of the oppressor, whether that oppressor is a capitalist firm, a police department, or an imperialist nation.
Cincinnati City Council Update: May 2025
Cincinnati City Council moves forward with widely-opposed Hyde Park development, as well as works to protect cops’ data.
May Palestine Update
Solidarity with the Palestinian resistance must be uncompromising. There is no middle ground between imperialism and liberation. The Palestinian cause demands internationalist, anti-imperialist, and socialist solidarity, not performative slogans and conditional support.
Cincinnati Police Department: Child Executioners
Condemning Rodney Hinton Jr. and at the same time justifying the murder of his son, Ryan Hinton, is a betrayal of the people. Anyone who carries water for the oppressors by recognizing their violence as legitimate while declaring resistance or retaliation unacceptable objectively works against the interests of the people. Rodney Hinton Jr. staked his life to avenge his son and stood in a courtroom without fear and with all of his convictions knowing he could be put to death for his actions; that in itself is commendable.
Why Labor Unions?
There is currently no “correct” answer of how to build militant unions in the 21st century, but we must continue to study the history of the labor movement and class struggle both in the US and abroad, and learn from its successes and failures.
How May Day was Co-opted: Labor Day Undermines Working Class Solidarity
If the various forces representing the working class’s interests engaged in the same cooperation that we see between Democrats and Republicans we would once again be able to effectively challenge the power of the capitalist system. However, if we continue to bicker and brush off each other, we will achieve nothing.
Trump Attacks The EPA
The Trump regime and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin are recklessly rolling back 31 of the EPA’s critical clean air and water regulations. This is a move that represents an egregious assault on public health and disproportionately endangers the health and well being of working class and vulnerable communities in the US.
Trump’s Economic Policies: Road to Ruin
Donald Trump, with his lack of decorum revealing his white supremacist agenda, is following the Project 2025 playbook laid out for him by the Heritage Foundation (the same playbook presented to and utilized by every president in some form or fashion for decades). It calls for the prevention of working class solidarity, implementation of austerity measures, cutting funding to essential programs that help workers, deportation of immigrants, investing of tax dollars into stocks and crypto currencies, and the overall plunging of America into a trade war against the rest of the world.

“It is questionable if all the mechanical inventions yet made have lightened the day’s toil of any human being.”

The Limits of Liberal Environmentalism: Why Environmental Movements Must Be Revolutionary
Climate change is not a novel idea. The hypothesis that rising carbon dioxide in the atmosphere could be correlated to rising global temperatures was documented by scientists as far back as the 1930s. In 1965, Lyndon B Johnson was the first American president warned of climate change by scientists. As early as the late 1950s, the oil industry began to understand the impact of fossil fuels on climate; internal memos from Exxon in the late 70’s showed that the company was well aware that their products would have “dramatic environmental effects before the year 2050.”
