When Faith is Complicit in the State's Violence
Nineteen Butler County faith leaders and 16 other clergy from outside the county sent a letter "of concern" to the Commissioners of Butler County, the Sheriff's Office, and the general public to speak about how two of their congregation members were detained at Butler County Jail (with one of the two later deported).
In only one sentence throughout the entire seven-paragraph letter do they raise any "concern" about how detainees are being treated. The rest of the letter is spent sympathizing with fascism, imperialism, and colonialism.
Cincinnati’s Crackdown and DC’s Military Occupation: Connecting the Dots
On July 24th, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order entitled “Ending Crime and Disorder on America’s Streets.” This order demands that cities do more to “address” homelessness and serves as the basis for the current federalized crackdown that is occurring in Washington, D.C.
ICE Arrests in East Price Hill: Half-Baked Measures of Cincinnati Fail to Protect Its People
Reports have confirmed that ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) arrested multiple people in East Price Hill during the first weekend of June. This was not an isolated assault, but part of a broader pattern of state violence and neglect. These arrests bring the number of immigrants held against their will in Butler County Jail, a known ICE contractor, to over 300.
No Climate Justice Without Proletarian Power
Cop Cities are not about “public safety.” They are paramilitary training facilities, constructed not to protect communities, but to prepare for war against them — especially Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities. These are domestic counterinsurgency bases designed to train police in urban warfare, crowd control, and repression tactics. They exist to crush uprising, suppress ecological resistance, and neutralize future rebellions against a dying capitalist order.
Trump Invokes the Alien Enemies Act of 1798
Hundreds of immigrants have been deported around the country after President Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 for the first time since World War II. Using a centuries-old wartime law to target alleged members of a Venezuelan gang (Tren De Aragua), the new administration continues to arrest, detain, and deport more and more people while the bourgeois media focuses on legal battles against the administration that will take months to resolve.

Project 2025 and the Need for Worker Solidarity
Voting alone won’t save us; the fight against authoritarianism and exploitation doesn’t stop if we beat Trump in November. We can’t rely solely on electoral politics every 2-4 years to bring about the change we need. Change comes through mass action, political education, and general organization. In order to know what your community needs, you have to go out and be part of your community.
