On July 24th, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order entitled “Ending Crime and Disorder on America’s Streets.” This order demands that cities do more to “address” homelessness and serves as the basis for the current federalized crackdown that is occurring in Washington, D.C.
Stop Cincinnati’s Cop City!
In October 2024, ground broke on the site of the future Hamilton County Regional Safety Complex (colloquially known as Cincinnati’s Cop City) at 9500 E Miami River Rd in Colerain Township. Construction is expected to be complete by 2026.
The Media's Role in Upholding Capitalism (and Protecting the Cops)
The entire spectrum, large and small, of bourgeois media outlets (The Washington Post, The New York Times, Fox News, CNN, The Cincinnati Enquirer, etc.) is owned and controlled by the capitalist ruling class. July City Council Update
June's Cincinnati City Council meetings have revealed a clear pattern: more favors for police and developers, fewer answers for people footing the bill.
Civility Won't Save Us
In June 2025, a bulletin calling for a "Sit-Down Wave" began circulating within 50501-focused online spaces. The bulletin, titled "Protect the Peaceful Protest," lists five rules that suggest protesters very literally sit down, shut up, and obey. This is not only counter-productive; it is dangerous. The state does not care whether its victims stand, sit, or kneel.
Cincinnati Police Department: Child Executioners
Condemning Rodney Hinton Jr. and at the same time justifying the murder of his son, Ryan Hinton, is a betrayal of the people. Anyone who carries water for the oppressors by recognizing their violence as legitimate while declaring resistance or retaliation unacceptable objectively works against the interests of the people. Rodney Hinton Jr. staked his life to avenge his son and stood in a courtroom without fear and with all of his convictions knowing he could be put to death for his actions; that in itself is commendable.
